You have the dual snorkle correct? If you do they should be pointing down. I swaped restrictive coffe can style air intake to the dual snorkle, and when I tried to install the K&N's it gave me a little trouble. I just had to push down a little harder then normal and evrything work fine.

I have an 87 2.8 camaro and I have K&N's in my dua snorkle, they droped right in for me "although I have the boxes gutted" wich could be the reason why they didn't give me any, if I were you I would just gut the boxes and drop the K&N's in, you will receive much better air flow than before.

First thanks for responding, I do have then in they fit fine but only wit the ridgs facing up, are all you saying the flat part faces up in your cars? I see what you mean about the bottom getting in the way the water baffels, but do you get water in there without the bottoms on? thanks again

The ridges are suppose to face down , the top flat .Sounds like you dont have the right filters or defective ones ..Dont know if thats possible ...but ...Wayne

Mine , and I think most , unless you have a conical set-up , the black lining on the outside fits plush into the edges of the boxes .Sounds like you have the wrong filters if you can get them in there upside down ...Because mine wont fit in their with the ridges up .Wayne

same here I tried it also and it wont fit like that, you have the wrong ones, here is the model no. of the K&N's you need:

33-2008

if the model no. for the K&N's you have isn't the one I just posted, you have the wrong ones, if it is then you have defective ones or someone put the wrong ones in the box. I am positive that is the model no. of the K&N's you need because I just got them off my box

As far as whether or the water gets in, no. The water from the road or from a good rain doesn't get in. Just don't take the car for a swim and you'll be ok.

I hit a flooded par tof the street last night. but fortunetly I was going verry slow (15MPH). Scared the hell out of me becuase I couldn't see it, but no watter got in there.
