89 2.8mpi Firebird for sale!?!?!

Hey Guys Im not really wanting to part with my baby Butt Im desperately in need of the money for school,, or Trading it for something that I can get dirty and drive through snow... Heres a little info about the car.. it has 112,000 miles. Ive owned the car since about 65,000 miles and I have runned Mobil one synthetics since. It has a K/N filter charger and Flotech Exhaust. I have about $2300 into stereo and Alarm. Its a panasonic Head unit and Fosgate speakers and Amp. It also has a 145 amp alternator. I have 2 sets of tires and rims that will go with the car, one set is the GTA style and the other is the factory stamped cast style(painted Yellow and Blue).... Now heres the interesting part.. I dont really know what the car is worth.... And i dont really know how much one would spend to have it shipped to their location. So any offers or Comments are appreciated... If you would like to see a pic of the car it can be seen at www.profiles.yahoo.com/jjstealth2000 I think thats how it goes.. if not just do a member search on the ID jjstealth2000 and it will be there

Thanks again

And Hey Yeah I Also havent been on these message boards for ever too... Hmmm Maybe it was because dumb *** idiots like you hurting other peoples feelings. I also noticed you guys did something similar to another F-body member and totaly destroyed his triumph of finding horsepower in the 60 degree v-6's. So before you go running your mouths again... why dont you think of what is really possible and then quit being jealous because someone actually did something you couldnt. Bye the way I would sopose you would laugh when I said that I had a 93 AWD astro van lifted 5 inches and still ran the "W" 4.3 slightly modified making 296HP to the rear wheels (front drive shaft disconnected) Now whos laughing???

NUMBER 1, I never have dissed anyone for saying anything that's possible. We even had a guy in here w/ a 14 second 3.1. Most anything is possible.

NUMBER 2, how does claiming you have a GM all aluminum racing engine and a carbon fiber bodied Firebird make you seem any better than anyone else?

NUMBER 3, Is this the same Firebird that you've killed a Type R with?

Either this Guy was scared to push his shiny new car to its limits or he was giving it his all. I took him on with my 89 Fire Bird which is mostly stock except for a few minor mods which include: some suspension lowering componants, ram air cold air intake. 4 wheel disk brakes (BAER), custom prom with no rev limiter. and Cyberdyne digital gauges.
We were racing to top speeds and he gave up at 160mph and backed off at 180mph.

It was the first time i ran this car over 100 and it was far faster than i ever anticipated. im still in shock that i could run with an Integra

. I knew how fast I was going because i have a certified 200mph digital speedo gauge. I never told you that the Engine was a gm performace parts all alluminum engine. I also didnt mention that most of the body on the car is now carbon fiber. there is only one seat left in the interior. My front suspenion setup is totally custom. Its is an double upper lower A-arm coil over set up taken from a NASCAR desing. It is made of entirely cnc'd titanium. Now Ill tell all of you that my Hp output at speed is somewheres above 290 burning CAM 2 racing fuel. I am currently working on a methanol setup. And my bird weighs no wheres near 3000 lbs it sits just over 1750lbs race ready. Im sorry I mislead you guys there was no pun intended I promise. And just for the record that car when it was totally stock minus the speed limiter and rev limiters ran top out at 119mph and that was full factory weight too.

Your Yahoo profile says you're only 20 and finishing up your Junior year in college.....guess I'm a lil behind considering I don't yet have MY Aerospace Engineering Degree yet.

Sprry I am all for making the 60* go fast. he he I am the one that is finally getting headers for these thing reproduced! cause I AM DOING IT. Now come on. I am calling major BS on this one. I have many a plan with my 92 camaro, of which all is doable and in the realm of coherant rationality. IE dropping in a turbo 4.3 from the GMC cyclone. I also expect this car to get into the 10's esy. Which again is quite doable.
Now to rebody(at least the majority) the car in Carbon fiber? please guy. too mush a waste of time and money. Fiberglass would have at least be believable. If I rebodied my camaro in Carbon fiber The thing would fall apart. The most you could do is the front clip. Thats the reason GM made these things a TRUE UNIBODY. So idiots like us could not go around cutting the body to pieces and replaceing all the heavy steel with fiberglass. Not to mention I would feel sorry for you if you ever got into an accident in it. I have worked with Carbon Fiber Panel/Parts in the Navy. And while they can support tremendous loads high localized impact rips through it like paper. Nothing can be done short of inlaying many many layers of Kevlar 10 OZ fabric. And Kevlar is WAY more expensive than C/F.

Now going to the Suspension. Titanium? please no need, no call for it. If you were stupid enough to put the parts in there why convert it to the less reliable double wishbone? the stock strut lower arm has better control with a strut bar. Less deflection. Man there are just SOOOO many things that I just say is a flat out lie.

I feel sorry for the person that does buy your car. You may actually talk them into believing half the stuff is actually there.

Though Overclock GM does make an all aluminum 60*. More money then its worth. But it is there if you can find one. Me personally would spend the money on the all aluminum 4.3 that weighs less then my 95 pound dog.

Whatever JJ.

Hunter, I didn't say that they DIDN'T make one, I don't really care. Then again, if he had one, wouldn't his car not be "mostly stock" anymore?

OK Guys I give up.... And please dont feel sorry for anyone who might end up with the 89 thats for sale.(its not even the same one) It has been a super fun car, I just dont have room to keep it in my shop anymore. And I really do need something new to drive this winter.

And for you guys stuck on laughing your heads off about why someone would waste time and money on such a dumb project like making an all aluminum 2.8 and Composite car. It was part of an engineering project that I was involved with. I was part of the team because at the time I was in an aerospace technologies program and had gathered much experience with lightwheight composites and metals. Now if you could all just forget anything was ever mentioned about it...... cant we just all get along??

Im am currently trying to get an approval from the other 9 team members to post the transscripts from the project so everyone would finally drop it. Until Then SWEET DREAMS....

What !! Are there double standards here!! I thought these boards were for tech . And now the moderator is bashing people.
Ovrclck when there are rules even YOU should stick to them . This post should have been locked even before YOU decided to bash him.
Any thing is possible , If he says he has a carbon bodied car , he might. YOU cannot prove or dis prove it .
So lets just get back to the issues before this board turns into a bashing board.

For the record, I didn't bash.....I was just trying to make sure no one got screwed.

BTW, the classifieds are down right now, so I figured that leaving the post open a lil longer might help the original poster....even moderators have a heart.
