need some help with my 2.8 mpfi

Dealing with a high idle problem, when I start the car it idles way high, some days it wont though, it will run fine but the last 2 weeks its getting to the point where the idle wont come back down, when I put it in neutral or park it jumps to about 2500 and when I'm driving it it acts like it is on cruise control and my car does not have that option. Also when I shut my car of to run into a store and come back out to leave it acts like its flooded and I have to wait. A few minutes for it to start .. what all besides a vacuum leak would cause this?

Check the iac valve, eng. coolant temp sensor, ecm grounds, have you looked for vacuum leaks yet?

I think its my tps, no matter which way I try to adjust it it still idles high, and when I took it off completely it idles and runs fine. I'm also going to replace my vacuum lines because the one for my ac and heated are leaking from behind the controls.

i had the same problem and it was the idle stop bracket (circleed in red in pic below) was bent check that and maby if your luck that could be the problem it is supose to be a 90* agle. if this is the culprit be sure to check the timeing and adjust if kneeded.
