Im sure its somewhere But I cant find it...anyways since im hooked on learning this prom burning i though why not throw these 19# injectors ive got out in the garage, in and chagne the prom for it. Right now my cars just N/A set up but i know its got more then the 140hp that those 15# injectors were designed for.
For anyone that doesnt know this engine just had the intakes/heads all ported and a delta 260 cam.
In process of figuring out the tuning and logging as we speak. Every time i think i understand the stuff something reminds me I DONT
So the question is do you think those 19# injectors will support a little more hp?? There off a 3.8L Camaro that had 53k miles on them.. sure wish i could of gotten that motor!! Injectors cost me 10 bucks off a firend.

So would those #19s hold up in turbo applications? Thanks project89!

Yes, the 19# injectors would be great for a turbo setup (depending on the boost levels).

with a cam and ported heads 19# injectors will not suport more then 2-3 psi of boost, i suggest atleast a 36.6# injector for mild turbocharging when ported heads and cam are involved on a 2.8 or 3.1 and 42# + on 3.4 and larger engines
19# injectors supported 250 CHP for me at 100% duty cycle, but were not big enough for 4th gear pulls at the track.
in my current 6 cylinder I have 32 lbs/hr injectors and they are nearly maxed out at about 300 HP (No dyno, just track times, from which the HP was calculated.)
Changing injectors ia good way to learn how to tune. I would first learn how tio change the global fueling with the stock injectors so that you can quickly and easily change the BIN for the new injectors to avoid flooding the engine, and causing fuel to mix with the oil.

Wow didnt relize there needed to be such large injectors with the boost. Well after i get a decent bin for tuning and i works(im sure itll take a while) but will those stock injectors i have even support the mods i have so far, or will they be at damm near 100DC%?

Six 19 #/hr injectors will support 194 HP at .50 BSFC and 85% duty cycle.Originally Posted by fasteddi

Need to estimate the HP the engine will be making under boost and go from there.
Note that the $88 code has three locations to change for injector flow rate. One for idle, one for cranking, and a table of values versus EGR.

Ok so what will my 15# stock injectors handle?? At say 85% duty?? I would think that my car would be closer to the 160hp at the crank after the mods ive done and a really good tune. Would those 15# keep the setup from its potential.
The turbo is still a little bit away. I need to learn how to tune for N/A first and the mods i have.

((15 * 6) / 0.5) * 0.85 = 153 HP

Ok and with that formula 100% would be 180Hp. Not that im anywhere near that so ill jsut leave the injectors in for a while exspecially since im having so many issued trying to mod. my original bin files. That is some complicated stuff...
