You will need a tranny controller, other than that, it fits just like a 700R4.

u can use the 4l60e without an ecm but it requires a full manual valve body

Re: 4L60E swap?

tci makes a very nice controller but its alot of money
imho u would be much better ahead having a stock 700r4 rebuilt y a reputable place

like dana @ probuilt he is a sponsor on the boards

Re: 4L60E swap?

Well reason I want to get away from thr 700r4 is because since mines an 86 it has the slamming problem and thr newer ones don't since they have the anti abuse valve

Re: 4L60E swap?

Then swap in a later 700R4.

The 4L60E is just an electronically controlled 700R4.

Re: 4L60E swap?

only time you would hear me say its not worth the trouble to put that in a V6 car..... if money is buring a hole in your pocket get a 200 4R built proper [better gearing] or do a T5 swap.

...and a harness and some adaptor cables to pick up the TPS signal etc. Also you might have to do something with the speedometer input. I like the 200 4R idea for what you are doing.
