Re: car wont startplease help!!!

if it has spark and fuel, more then likley ur timming is 180* off, check the order of ur plug wires and make sure its right.

did u happen to remove the distributor when u did the tuneup?

Re: car wont startplease help!!!

i didn't, so the order on the block is
65
43
12
and on the disturber is
6 1
5 2
4 3
I will try swaping my timing 180 degrees and hope that helps. thank you

u may have to remove the dizzy cap and verify which terminal is number 1

some times a previous owner if they pull the dizzy will just drop it back in and use the terminal closest to the rotor as the number 1 instead of actually putting it in the right place

Re: car wont startplease help!!!

Distributor cap... Dizzy cap.

Firing order is in numerical order 1-6. #1,3,5 PASSENGER'S side.

Pick a terminal to use as #1 and remove and reinstall the dizzy so that the rotor points to that terminal with #1 on the firing stroke (TDC). It will either run or need to have the wires for #1 and 4 switched and the firing order reset from there.
