EGR to manifold gasket?
When I changed my EGR recently I also changed the tube that extends the EGR to connect it with the Manifold on the Passenger side. I don't remember there being a gasket that connects the two, and the assembly manual doesn't show a gasket, so I just left it metal on metal down there
well, now my engine is noisier, and I can tell when I did sea foam yesterday I have a considerable leak coming from the base of that tube. I've thought about adding a gasket to seal things of, but I don't know what kind I need because it's not a factory part.
there's this one, which looks correct.. it's for a 93-95 3.4 camaro. It's an EGR gasket, but I'm not sure what part of the EGR, and don't know if it comes in direct contact with the Manifold. How can I tell if it will stand up t the heat generated?
Would I be better off making a gasket out of something like this?
or could I use some kind of high temp gasket from a tube?

Im not 100% sure, but i think you could use the exhaust manifold gasket stuff from that second link. If you can use it for an exhaust manifold then its safe to say you could most likely use it and be fine.
Ill also say i didnt look at the links, but if its the metal exhaust manifold gasket maker stuff you should be good. Unless someone else has a direct link to the gasket you need.
I didnt get to that point on my 2.8; the studs felt like they were going to shear after multiple pb blaster and heat cycles, so I just made myself a couple block off plates for the plenum and egr mount. Of course I wont have to deal with that when I put the turbo headers on

Re: EGR to manifold gasket?
It came in the mail. Not only is it the perfect size, but it's made out of the same material as a manifold gasket. couldn't have asked for better if it had actually been made for the car.

Re: EGR to manifold gasket?
Holy crap! I never knew I could get a gasket for that! I use copper RTV on all of my exhaust joints and haven't had an issue (except for now since I have considerable gaps between my header flanges and the heads at the bottom of the ports ).

Re: EGR to manifold gasket?
Nobody lists this gasket in their parts application guides for 90-92 3.1L. I knew it existed because I disassembled 2 in the salvage yard and they were there.
