starter blue wire?
Ok my starter went out. Got under the car and saw that there was a yellow connector broken off. All that is left is a blue wire with a small piece of the connector around it. The wire has a metal spike in the middle. Where does this connector go and what does the whole connection look like.Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: starter blue wire?
Update your profile to let us know what tpye vehicle we're dealing with. That said, the blue wire with a spike in it connects to either a knock sensor or radiator fan sensor. A pic would be helpful.

Re: starter blue wire?
If the wire is attached to the starter it could be a fuseable link.

Re: starter blue wire?
Sorry i forgot to add the engine detail. Its a 91 rs camaro with a V6.
The wire is very short i don't see how it could reach to anything but the starter.
The wire is just hanging from the part of the harness that the starter wires are in. They all come from the same spot. I don't know how to post pictures. Sorry.

Re: starter blue wire?
Antares thanks for the info. I found the knock sensor. You are correct on the blue wire. Just needed a good flash light. Thanks again for your help.
