2.8 v6 will not start

I have an 88 Camaro with a 2.8. I can get it to start, but it always takes about 5 seconds to get it going and it shuts down if it is not receiving fuel. Any idea what the issue may be?

What’s your fuel pressure?

How do you know it's good if you don't know what it is? Just because you have fuel spraying out of the rail doesn't mean it's enough to keep the engine running. Get a gauge on it and check it.
