Diagnose leaking injectors for "hot soak" problem?

Hi all -- 1992 Camaro V6 3.1 here. It looks like a common issue is the "hot soak" problem (see this thread).... no problem with a cold start --> drive normally --> park and turn off --> try to start again --> lots of cranking and difficulty to get started.

Is there a way to diagnose leaky injectors before I dive in and do the work/open her up? If not, I'm 99.9% sure they are the originals so it makes sense to replace them *anyway* but I always like to try to do a diagnosis/measurement first, if possible.

Thanks!

The dealer method at the time was to pull them up with the rail and fuel lines still attached. Upper plenum removed of course. Put paper towels under the tips and key on (NOT ENGINE START) To prime the fuel pump. Then let it sit. If the paper towel gets any fuel on it, it will disperse and be noticable under the leaking injector. It's very difficult to diagnose it with a gauge only because it could leak down from the pump or regulator while sitting, or if it is an injector you won't know which injector it is.

This makes sense, thanks — is there any observable change in injector resistance for leaky versus not-leaky if I start with electrical measurements?

If an injector leaks it's purely on the mechanical side if the injector.
Resistance measurements only tell you the condition of the windings without load. It won't tell you if it is flowing correctly or how the injector is working when energised.
