Finally beat the 34 engine code by swapping existing relays, MAF burn off and what? I'm replacing it, but haven't been able to figure out what the 2nd is for.

Wiring colors? Could be a fuel pump or AC compressor relay?

If your talking about the 1989 2.8 listed in your user profile, your car does not have a "MAF burn off" relay, only 8 cylinder cars had a MAF burnoff system. On your car the relays will be;

MAF power relay , near MAF mounted to the radiator support.

Fuel pump, radiator fan, and AC clutch relays, next to the power brake booster.

HVAC blower high speed relay, mounted to the top of the HVAC housing under the hood.

Here is your 2.8 wiring diagram showing the MAF wiring circuit;

Wires are dark green/white, red, black/red, and tan/white (assuming this is 'brown'). So the Coolant Fan Relay has to be it. None of the other relays have a similar 4 wire/color set. My mistake on the MAF relay name. I do a pretty good job of keeping my eye on the gages while driving and never noticed any engine heat issues. So I'm guess it was good enough for the fan but not the MAF? Either way it's been replaced. Thank you both for your help.
