Question regarding ignition switch/starting problem
So my 1990 RS Camaro does not start at all, relay clicks and it’s over, so far I’ve had the starter and battery tested, both good. I’ve cleaned the battery cables and checked grounds. It turns over when you jump the starter with a screwdriver but it’s relatively slow,( but the starters new) So my question is, I pulled the ignition cylinder out and the two white wires are cut in half and disconnected. Does the car need these to start? If so can I bypass it somehow? I already have the starter relay with a jumper wire as well.

Re: Question regarding ignition switch/starting problem
Probably not needed as they are to read the key for the VATs system. Which sounds like is also already bypassed.

Thanks, it is bypassed I just wasn’t sure of whether or not that needed to be plugged in still. I think the battery might just not have enough cca’a left so I’m gonna try jumping it with my other car

Re: Question regarding ignition switch/starting problem
New update, so that didn’t work. I’m out of ideas, if it isn’t the starter, start relay, batt. cables, battery itself or the wire on the ignition switch is there anything I’m missing?
