Help my identity this, metal tube from engine

Hello, I need help identifying this, the owner before me had the vacuum line from the egr

solenoid hooked up to this metal tubing and I realized that was wrong and hooked it up to my vacuum Switch, I was just wondering do I hook anything up to this line or just leave it be.

Your asking about the spark plug wire retainer stud in the valve cover?

Maybe

The guy before me had a vacuum line hooked up to the nipple, circled in white. I relized that was wrong and just making sure nothing else hooks up here.

Yep, T.L. and Tuned Performance are 100% correct, a wire loom piece similar to these gets pushed onto that stud and it keeps the spark plug wires from frying on the exhaust manifold
