ignition question
i overheard some of you guys talkin about upgrading your coils, i'm currently running 8mm accel wires with an accel cap &rotor where can i get an accel coil and how much does it cost?
thanks !!!
thanks !!!
I use an Accel also.
Love the brand.
I mount mine on the firewall. I made a simple "L" shaped bracket, hung it from there. I also had one mounted by the distributor. It was also a Accel brand. I do not like re-mounting them on the bracket they once were on.
I paid $36 from Kragen

You can order one fro www.summitracing.com. I forget how much it costs.
Oh, and MSD makes one that is a direct stock replacement.

thanks guys...
i was lookin for more of a factory replacement but i'll check into the others thanks for the help
There isn't a facory replacement.
Meaning the factory one would come already mounted on the bracket.
The Accel, MSD exact replacements are the wise alternative.
Again, I got the proper Accel coil to mount in the original spot, I just choose not to do that.

mine sounds pretty good. I have the 3.4 under the hood and just wish I could open up the exhaust more so I'll wait for headers and a y pipe. But for a v 6 it sounds pretty nice. sounds mean as heck to about 3500 rpm and after that its not ***** but its not deep either. I could even tell a little performance gain with it too. I'm very happy with it maybe bigger bore tips would help the tone. Hope this helps.
