Nice. If I could afford the insurance on a Trans Am or IROC, I too would buy one. The price of them has never bothered me too much, its just the fact that my insurance would be several hundred more a year.

Wow that is cool. I think insurance would be pretty expensive though, check on that. My parents pay 600 for liability just for 5 months of coverage and I'm 21 with a totaly flawless record; for my 92 3.1. If you get that, you could get it for about 3,000. Just put minor bolt ons or just leave it as is. Be grateful that it is a TA and a 5.0. You cant sell cars that are modded that well if you want to get rid of it later. Do they salt the roads in Virginia?

no offense, but stroking a 305 is kind of a waste of $$$. for less money you can just grab a 350 and build it and still have more cubes.
don't take it as a flame, i am a big 305 fan, but the economics of it just don't add up.

If you plan on getting rid of it in the future leave it stock. The reason is nobody gets much money for moded cars. That TA is really cool. I wish I had one. If you get it just put minor bolt ons like exhaust and headers leave the rest alone. Or dont do any thing with it. It looks good enough. Or buy a piece of crap car to drive when there is salt on the roads and drive the TA when it is nice out.

yet another NON fan of the 305 thing... I eat them up with my V6.... Though I am looking at stroking the 305 in my 91 to 355 and putting a 144 'charger on it. Just for fun... Then put in a 383... same intake, bigger carb.
