Whos king?

Who here has got the 'bad ***-est' 2.8 or 3.1?
I want someone to make me feel bad for taking the easy (er smart) way out and getting an LB9. So quarter times and 0-60s.
Cause I know some fo you guys got small little V6s thatll beat 9 outta 10 V8s cause youve devoted time and money to making the little bitch a powerhouse.

I have no idea what my 0-60's or 1/4's are becuase I have only done street races. All though I did hold pretty good with an LT1 one time. I was on his bumper the entire way (he must have been in need of a tune-up or work). I knew I wasn't going to win, but it was fun any ways!

With all my mods, I'm still pumping out prolly a whopping 145 HP at the crank. Hehe. But i've beaten my share of Auto TBI's at the illeagal street races. People always think i'm crazy cuz i challenge TBI's all the time. but little do they know... (BTW, i never step to TPI's, hehehe) I never wanted to drag the car cuz i built it to handle, and handle it does.

Bone stock, the car ran a 17.1 at 78 at Sears Point Raceway. My friend was in the car too. 0-60 i get on average low 9 seconds (thats with my holding a stop watch and gauging from the speedo).

Hehe, alright, i see what you're saying now. I never wanted to go all out with the V6 anyway, although it would be cool as heck. I want a short stroked LS1 with all the power at 7000 RPM!!!! (in my car, not a 4th gen)

I have a '92 Camaro RS 3.1L 5 speed with a custom bent cat back, Flowmaster 80-series, catco hiflow cat, rebuilt distributor with a holly hi-po inigtion mod, 8.5 wires, Accel super coil, home built dual snorkle ram air with K&N's, lightly ported and heavly polished throtle body (<-- yes it helps), and new new clutch. I usaly gap my plugs at .050 instead of .045. It just seems to idle and run better that way. I keep my car in top running order as much as possible. If someing starts getting flaky I replace it as soon as posible.

Belive it or not my car drives 170 miles Monday thru Friday, and has 179,000 miles on it and still running strong. I don't plan on doing any internal work on the engine, becuase I want to drop a 3.4L in it when my 3.1 finally gives me it's last mile.

In the future I plan on changing over to a rear end with disc brakes, but I'm not sure what gear ratio. I need to consider a performance and fuel economy balance. Every time I add some thign new I all ways look for a part that will give more power while either effecting the gas millage verry little or one that will increase it a little. I am also going to be geeting a custom made "Y" pipe.

A bunch of suspension mods are on my list of things to do. Some I will make my self in order to save some cash and the hedace of trying to find one that will fit. Like a STB. I plan on making mine own STB and wonder bar.

I am King.. I have raced an LT 1 that runs 12 seconds twice. First I beat him, but I know why. He lost traction several times on the winding road.. He lost major traction off line and I got like 3 cars on him in that time. The second time the same road, but a more curvy portion he could not loose me.. I was on his *** the whole mile and he hated it.. Now at Orland Speed World he would toast me, but we have yet to play there. I prefer to make him feel bad he lost to my car.. We are buddies so it s fun.

yep same happened to me with a WS6... lol
the guy i know was spinning 1st like crazy...
and on top of that he shifted 1-4 lol instead of 1-2
that really got me ahead of him by a lot..
my shift kit helped me a lot there ...

(NO DOUBT he'll beat me in 1/4 mile... but sometimes overconfidence on his part!!!)

we'll he didnt even bellieve when i said i have a v6 in there

even after all this i dont call myself the king ..

there are guys in this board who have more than what i have

Well, I think I have the fastest and the best looking 6 on this board!!! In my opinion. When my 2030 gets adjusted this summer and on go the already boughten headers, Ed Wright Programming ($350!!), 19lb injectors, Ported TB and Intake and a new Motley Crue Window Cling on. I know I will be able to kick some A$$!
I've spent alot of jack on my car; alot of people ask me why dont you sell it and get a V8? I got my 92 as a gift and it means a hell of alot more to me than a V8.
My mods are:
Crane 2030 Cam
CompCams 1.52 Roller Rockers
MSD 6A Ignition, Coil, Wires
Accell Cap and Rotor
Custom CAI
Dynomax Cat
Dynomax Cat-Back Exhaust
Hooker SuperCompetition Headers
Jet Power Pulleys
Ed Wright Custom Programming
Ford Racing 19lb Injectors
Bored Throttle Body(www.60degreeV6.com)
Ported Intake.
Exterior is all stock with 51,000 Summer Only Miles.
**Digital Camara Coming Soon to rest my case**
When I just had a Hypertech Chip, Pulleys, Dynomax cat-back, MSD and CAI, my brothers newly tuned up 48,000 mile 92 25th Anniv. RS would get its *** handed to him. When the cam gets fixed and the other bolt ons are on bring on the stock 5.0 TPI.

I vote for redbird! He was in the low 13's if I remember correctly. Which could put a hurting on an LS1 with a bad driver!
