Exhaust question?

Just out of curiosity, what is better, Having straight pipes or getting flowmaster or some other type of exhaust? ( don't think i spelled this right , but oh well)! Oh and one more thing, torque converter, how much and how hard is it to install one?

Thanks

A full catback is your best option. If you run straight pipes all the way to the back, it'll sound like crap, and the exhaust gasses will "back up" in the pipes. I ran with just a pipe to the back (original muffler fell off, oops), and the car was a dog.

A torque convertor's going to require you to drop the transmission to install it. It slides over the input shaft of the trans, and bolts onto the flywheel. The only way to get that TC off the input shaft is to drop the trans. You can remove your flywheel inspection plate to get a look at this. It's under the car, between the engine and trans, painted black, and held on with 4 screws; I believe two 15mm's and two 10mm's.
