Ok, so the 3.4 has something like 170 hp and 200 ft/lbs of torque, right? i'm just curious what kind of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times this may produce. i know most of you guys that have done the swap probably have other mods to your cars, but i'm just looking for a ball park figure. (if only i had the money and tools for that swap ) i appreciate it

I haven't a clue.
Right now I can say that my top speed charge of 75 to 90+ is quite spectacular.
Hardly breaks a sweat.
Right now I'm planning on swapping a 3.4 into my S-10 Blazer. I can't get a CHEAP 2.8-3.1.
They're all dead of high milage.

 

I'm playing on taking my 3.4 to the track sometime soon. But i'm gonna wait for headers becuz my exhaust is messed up bad. Where the cat was taken off is likea 1 3/4 inch pipes thats totally screwing it over so when I get the headers I'm getting a bigger I pipe I think 2.5 or 2.75 if they have those. the 2.25 stock is too small for headers cuz I got plenty of torque right now with the 3.4. I can spin em off the line easy with too much of a clutch dump. I'm hoping for a high 15 after I rebuild my distrib and get new coil with the headers. maybe i'm just being really optimistic but hey ya never know. That off course woud be with alot of things off my car for weight and maybe if I find out I'll take all the smog crap off. Sorry for the rambling :-) i'm just a bored 17 year old.
