Got me one of these v6's

I got it Thursday. I've wanted a v6 for a long time but never could get a hold of one (v8's cheaper). I've also wanted a hardtop for a long time.

I got a real deal on this one. It was traded in the day before I got it. It was such a mess the dealership didn't want to mess with it. When I bought it I was buying it for parts for my good car and parts to sell on ebay. I gave $450 for it.

It runs great. So far most everything seems to work all right. Needs a lot of cleaning and some minor repairs (exhaust, water pump, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning). It's got 219K miles on it. It's a factory AC delete car! I wish it were a stick shift that would have been the kicker.

I think I'll keep it a little while anyway, drive it some. Who knows I'll probably keep the damn thing. My friend and I changed the water pump today, what a PITA compared to a v8!

I'll have some pictures of it cleaned up later, this is how I bought it.

I need two wheels if anybody has some cheap.

Cause I spent all that money at the car wash, and I still didn't get it clean! My friend and I cleaned on it some tonight after we got the PITA water pump on, there is still a 8 hour day's worth of cleaning left to do. It's really not that bad of a car it's just filthy. I may have to put carpet for it for it to be decent, if that is the case I'll get my Formula new carpet and use it's old carpet.

For 450 you can't go wrong on that car. It looks great for 350 +km on it. Sure it needs some cleaning and an exhaust. But over time you can go to a yard find the two other rims a good set of tires. And the car will be excellent.

You have the same style wheels I do on my 1985 Firebird.
PINWHEEL DESIGN.
I have WS6 caps on mine.
I'll keep an eye out for some.
They do seem to be common.
Need two?

My white car isn't getting formula wheels, it's getting two more like it's got, the 15x7 wheels that look like formula wheels, formula wheels are 16x8.

Three different wheels had that "turbo tech" or whatever design, I guess each one has a different offical name probably.

They're 20 slot Pontiac wheels, 15x7... The other two similar wheels are the convex 16x8 turbo wheels, and the 16x8 hi-tech turbo wheels.

Dont pay more than about $20 a piece for those wheels, they're heavy and extremely plentiful... no body wants them.

Seems like a good deal to me! If you do keep it, and want carpet, check out http://www.1aauto.com - that's where I bought my carpet from. They sell the ACC brand (GM authorized repro) carpet, for less than what the http://www.accmats.com website wants! I paid $110 for my carpet, hell yeah!

Looks like the body is nice an straight. Yeah, that interior needs work. Hey, good project car, something to keep ya busy. Now that my camaro is 95% done I've got this major itch to find a Monte to fix up.

I've got a project car already though. Really it's not much of a project, if I keep it, I'll drive it as a daily driver this summer. Less than a $1000 bucks in it total and I can have a fairly nice daily driver(for $1000 anyway).

I always enjoyed my GM cars, designed by the factory style department.
I love the optional factory wheels for some of my cars, these Turbo Tech wheels for my 85 Firebird and the upgrade steel wheels for my S-10 Blazer, that look like the old Keystone Classic mag design.
The factory steel rallys on my 74 Vette always seemed right. For the old Camaros, I have the factory "mag" hub cap, real wire wheels, vintage 70's steel chrome slotted wheels, original stamped steel wheel and rallys, also. Luckily, only two sets of wheels have tires mounted and they are on the cars now!
