Hey guys, my stock p215 tires just arnt holding the 450 horses lol. Im about to buy some C6 wheels, and was trying to figure out what tires im going to put on the back. Im bouncing around between the 10.5" rims and the 9.5" rims. If i got the 10.5" rim i would get the following tire,
P305/35R18 26.4" Dia 12.5" Sidewall 11.5" treadwith

or the 9.5" rim
P295/45R17 27.2” Dia 11.6” Sidewall 10.6” treadwith

Both are mickey thompson et streets.

Which tires would be best for my 450hp 383. Would i run into a bad rubbing problem with either of them? I dont have any problem beating the crap out of the inner fender well.

 

Any ideas?

 

Hey I believe C6's are all 18" front and 19" rear, with that said, 295's fronts may be a little to wide and in the rear you might be able to squeeze some 295's with a lot of hammering. Does M/T make a 19" tire. Later.

 

I have 325/50/15's under my car which have external measurements of 27.5" x 13" and they fit just fine. Did take some hammering, but all is under the fenders.

 

I was gonna get the replica rims. they have 4x17*9.5 or 2x17*9.5 front and 2x18*10.5 rear. And no i havent seen any 19".

Do you think i could get the Rear 18 x 10.5"- 58mm with these tires P305/35R18 26.4" Dia 12.5" Sidewall 11.5" treadwith, on a stock 4th gen axle?

 

i run 19x10's C6's with 295/30's and fit well but the offset on my wheels are more like 79 mm or so, which is almost a full inch more than those 18's 58mm.

I have a 4th gen axle and use a .625 spacer to get them to fit right and only had to do minor pounding on the inner wheel well to get it all to fit.

SO with that said, i would think the 18x10 will fit fine on your 4th gen rear with no additional spacers but you will have to pound in the inner wells abit

BUT for best traction the taller sidewall 17 inch would be a better choice but i'd run the 315 tire if you could. it should squeeze on a 9.5" rim ok.

either way it will be better than what you have now

 

im running 305's pirrellis on 19X10 C6's stock rear with 2" spacers only took minor pounding and tires fit great, im unsure of what traction 305's would gain over my old 255 50 17 set up yet to run the car, but they do look great

 

how well do they tuck under the rear of the car?
