I have the same combination with rolled lips and 295/35-18's and I don't really see how anything larger is going to go in there.

Do you have pics?

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

I'm wanting to put some C6 Z06 wheels in 18's all the way around on my car.
http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...-p6902224.html

Now, i am running the 3rd Gen rear end, so i know i am gonna need the 2" Spacer, but what spacer do i need on the front?
Also, what size tires can i run? I'm not looking to go something really wide, but dont want pizza cutter's either. I'm thinking 245's or 255's all the way around, or 235's or 245's on the front with 275's on the back.
Be patient with me as i am new to car tires and their sizing's.
I was also thinking of dropping my car 1" to 1.75" all the way around to.

Might do 17" in the same wheel\s all the way around if it makes it easier.

you will need 2in for the front. rears will be 1.5in of course it all goes with your backspacing at anytime. with the wheels listed are the same backspacing as mine. and this is the spacers that i used

Huh, not exactly what I expected, yours stick out a lot more than mine... I just realized that the pictures that I had up on the forum are gone and the only ones that you can get any impression of how they fit were taken while right after bought the car and was attacking the crappy body work on it.

Here you can see both how they tuck in and if you look carefully you can see my rolled lips. I kind of debate cutting the spacers down another 1/8"-1/4" just to tuck it them in better. Oh, and these pics are not at ride height, the car is up on jack stands:

A slightly more normal view:

don't mind the bondo stripe on the door, I have another door for it, not even going to use that one even though I mostly fixed it:

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

Wait, did you use other offset wheels on the back? Mine are the stock vette offset and I have a 2" rear spacer with my 295/35's and they're definitely more tucked in than yours with 1.5" spacers and the tires should only be about 3/8" narrower (probably about 3/16" per side).

1.5" spacers will not be enough for 56mm offset, that will put them almost 3/4" in from centered, most people end up with 0-1/2" offset, I'm at about .2" if I remember right

Man those looks beefy! I wanted to run 315 Nitto 555R's on my 01 SS rims with a 2" spacer. Think I could get away with a 1.5"? Being only 9-9.5 rim, 2" is probably what I need. Anything wider can run a 1.5".

What size tires are you running in the front and rear for your 18's and is your car lowered or stock height?
Thanks

Huh... Are you sure?

Mine aren't on the car right now and I just measured them (and double checked the recept), my spacers are definitly 2" and my wheels are front 17x9.5 with a +54mm offset and rear 18x10.5 with a +58mm offset. That should put your wheels farther in and it definitly looks like yours stick out and mine are significantly further in, like at least 1/2-3/4"

Something is not adding up. Do you have a 4th gen rear?

Frickin' sick. Hands down, the best looking combo I've seen. Looks like they're SUPPOSED to be on the car. C5 Deep Dishes FTW.

I wonder about the rear spoiler....is it stock or is it a bit taller? Seems to be taller....but can't see it very well. I like it.

C5 Z06 wheels and the 2" Skulte spacers with 295 Toyo T1Rs on the rear, 265s on the front. No rubbing although my fender lips have been rolled.

when i had my set up, my 285 almost rubbed on inner fender well. i could of used like 2 1/4 spacers. my dts 12 bolt is a little narrower then stock. 315 would be to wide of a tire for 17x9 also. tire would look like a fat roll hanging over the rim.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

I've seen 315's on these rims and it was just fine actually. No major tire buldge, just a little bit. If they are indeed bad, I will either find a set of 275/40's or just buy ZR1 rims

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

Finally got my car back, and got my new C6 Z06 wheels installed (18's with 245/40's all around). I wish i went a little fatter in the back but these are gonna do for now. I went with 2" spacers all around to and its close on the front, but no rubbing.

Now, i have a bigger gap in the back than the front between tire and fender lip so i need a lowering kit, but dont wanna go to crazy on price or a huge drop. Also, will lowering it make my tires come closer in the front at full steering lock?

BTW, How do i post a picture?

Yes they will fit, you will need 2" spacers all around. The rears will be tight, but should clear. I have 18" C6 replicas and I have plenty of space.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

Not sure, I just got done installing factory c6 wheels on my car with 2.5 inch spacers on the back and 2.25 inch spacers on the front. The rears just barely cleared and the fronts were ok. 2 inch spacers in the rear would not work for me at all. That's with 19x10 rears 19x 12 I'm sure would need some crazy 3.5 or 4 inch spacer which is crazy, would work much easier if you have a fourth gen rear end to start with. In my opinion, stock c6 z06 wheels will not work on a stock third gen. Would look badass though!!!

Is anyone running the stock C6 Z06 rims on a third gen.
They are 18x9.5 and 19x12. will they fit.
those guys running the 19x10 c6, is there any more clearance in there??
I would be really surprised if 19x12s fit. I think I only have an extra 1-1.5" inches between my 19x10s and the inner fenderwell and the wheels I have are flush with the fender.

A 4thgen rear makes it a bit more difficult I think, I still have to run a 1" bolt on spacer so the wheels don't hit the inner fenderwell. 3.5-4" spacer even on a thirdgen rear would put the wheels outside of the fenders...

never in a million years will they fit without sticking way outside the wells. I have 18x12's on my 86 and they needed a minitub to clear properly and sit properly int he wheels wells.

spacers dont magically make the car wider....

thats what i was thinking. i was hoping someone here had actually tried them or had them on and could explain what they did.
im getting a good deal on these rims, but i dont want to spend the money and have them not fit.

hopefully i can find someone locally to try them out.....

They came on newer Zo6 corvettes (I think '09+). They're called the "spyder" wheel. I think in black/gunmetal they look AMAZING and I'd love to run them but no aftermarket company makes them in sizes large enough for me yet.

The 295's tire size came on the rear of the C5 Z06 from the factory. The wheels were 17x9.5 & 18x10.5 (OEM)

Again the tires were 265 up front (odd size) & 295 in the rear. I hope this helps.

Got some 17" Z06 wheels on my car with 2" spacers all around. Looks nice in this pic with the car freshly washed. Good thing you can't see the clear coat peeling on the roof and hood :P. Front's lowered as far as it goes with Spohn coil-overs and rear is stock height.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

The ZO6's look nice on there, just got to bring it down some. Can't believe that's all the drop you got from coil overs. Later.

Yes I really think they suit 3rd gens. As for the coil-overs I was disappointed a little as well but I guess it could be that the front-end is lighter than stock after my engine swap. I'm planning on getting some drop spindles and/or shorter/stiffer springs from QA-1 (which is the brand of the current springs) and also some coil-overs for the rear.
