Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!
Bump for an excellent thread. I just bought a set of stock C-5 Polished thin spokes 17/18's for my 91 Z28.. Seems the consensus is that 2" spacers front and rear work well for this application? Car's suspension and drive train is all stock, with no plans to lower it, change calipers, brakes, etc.
2" on all 4 seem to be correct?

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!
I finally got my C6 wheels on. 2" spacers up front, 2.5" in back. With the stock corvette size tires. I still have the stock springs in too. All I had to do was beat in the front part of the rear fenderwell with a hammer.
It's amazing how our cars make bigger rims still look small. And this winter I'm going to take off the gold decals.

I posted a friend's Camaro with those wheels a while back, with a little searching I might find it.

Anyone else? I´d like to see how this car coud look with these wheels. I do not have the budget to buy any other wheels(car itself cost me 3000dollars).
So dig in your pile of photos and post them.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!
thanks, I got the rims off ebay for like 500 shipped so they were not to exspensive and they look amazing in person.
I was thinking about lowering the car but it low enough for the roads around here, plus i have air shocks in the back so i can atleast lower the back at any time....lol

Rims 18x10.5 replicas with 56mm offset.
Tires 315/30-18 Hoosier A6.
2" spacers all the way around.
Relocated rear bump stop (just the driver side for now), increased the steering stops to keep the rim off the control arm at full lock, rolled the quarters, hammered the rear inner fender wells, and did some minor work to the fenders.

P315/35R17 on 17x11 with a 7.8" back space and 2" spacers. P275/40ZR17 on 17x9.5 with a 7.1" back space and 2.25 spacers but I think I have to push it out another .25" so I dont hit the drag link. No rubbing in the rear and slightly touching the inner fender in the front with stock suspension. The wheels were listed as 17x11 50mm and 17x9.5 53mm if you dont want to convert from metric. I hope this helps, Mark

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!
So if I'm understanding all of this... For the C5/C6 wheels (or the ZR1 style as many of you have), you simply need at least a 2" spacer on the front and a 2" on the back if you've got a stock rear? If you have a 4thgen rear, you only need the two front spacers?

I had to use a 2.25'' in the rear and it still hits on little bumps and hard cornering. I just got them on and i will have to bang the inner wheel well to make it better. I used 2'' on the front and i can turn my wheel all the way and no rubbing at all.

I have a 4thgen rear and 1" spacer and they're perfectly inline with the fenderlip. I'd go more than a regular 2" with a stock rear.

89 Vette wheels would look good in flat silver and coverd lugs ,remember them.I think I you needed a 2inch spacer, with separate lugs. I still have the spacers somewhere $650!! at the time, custom made....

I want to see gunmetal ZR1 wheels.
Mine's lowered 2.5" inches. I'd drop it a bit more but fenderwells are smaller on 'verts than coupes.

17x8.5 /18x9.5, 2"spacer on rear, 1.7" spacer up front, I have C5 brakes on the front, thus the need for the thinner spacer. Dean

Couple pics of mine with C5's. Honestly, I think stock 16 IROC's are the best looking. Saw a dude on here that had powdercoated some black, they were awesome!

It kind of copies it. I got it from Fiber Concepts in PA.
http://www.fiberpartsconcepts.com/1289627.html
The fit is OK at best, it isn't bad for a race car and I'm sure someone with more body work skill could make it look better. I'm not disappointed with, but pickier people may be.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!
I did,, by the way this is my 1st post on the forum I have just installed them very recently ,, they look cool but I'm still trying to get used to them though, these are ZR1 replica Set, 19x10 285.30.19 rear & 18x8.5 255.40.18 up front, the next available size was the 20/19 combo, the rear is 12'' wide which was almost impossible to fit,, so had no much of the choice but to go for 19/18, I still think the 20/19 set would had looked even much nicer.. anyway here is the link:

For some reason, it was not as good as I thought it would be. Looks similar to pwdbychevys style rims, and I actually like his better.
