help - lugnuts

I need to know which lugnuts will fit with my cragar super star rims. If you can't find them they are Identical to the Weld Racing pro star rims.

Anyway I have 2 or 3 lugnuts missing and I need to get them for a safety. The car is an hour away and I cant get to the car to bring a lugnut into town to get a match.
So please correct me if im wrong these are my measurements of what if needed. I got these off various sites.

the stock camaro stud is 12mm x 1.5
the shank length needs to be 1.379" (taken from summits site for the rim)
the diameter of the shank should be around .687"

if anyone could help me get the correct lugnut for these rims would be awesome.

Btw I have 2 of the weld type on the front and 2 cragar type on the back. Both use the same lugs I believe.

Re: help - lugnuts

I didn't think the lugnuts were particular to a rim outside of aesthetics. As long as you have the nut with the right thread on it, you should be fine. If its the stock rotor and axle, you can get some nuts from the junkyard/autoparts store and just put them on there while you search for the "correct looking" ones...

Re: help - lugnuts

Is that the correct part number. Everything else looks good on that lugnut exept for that its shank is .746" long instead of the 1.379"

how do you know?

You said they are shank style and those lugs are what works based upon what you have said.

Those lugs are what you use to put a 1980 Camaro wheel on a 1986 Camaro (or Monte Carlo )

Make sure your Cragars are shank style.

Re: help - lugnuts

What if the lugs are too short? .746 instead of 1.379?

I was thinking to myself that 1.379 seems too long.. hmm

Re: help - lugnuts

If, at the bolt pattern, your wheel is x thickness, you have to have shank style lugs that are shorter than x shank length or else the nut bottoms out and your wheel is not safely attached. I don't know how thick your wheels are there; I rather doubt that it's 1.379 but you should measure.

There are Weld and Cragar mag shank nut PN's on Summit with Lug Nut Shank Length (in) varying from 0.550 in. to 1.380 in. Stop by your parts store and get some short shanks, some long shanks and make sure you take some conical style nuts too. Don't open / take back the long shanks when they don't work.
