295/50/16 and GTA rims
Just wondering if any can post a picture of a GTA 16" crosslace rim and 295/50/16?
I have 15x8 prostars now with a 28x12.5 in the back and I think it would be cool to have to stock rims back on.
It will be a little of a weight disadvantage but oh well.

Re: 295/50/16 and GTA rims
I've done it on my old 92 RS, whose wheels are the same size & offset. Sorry, this is the only pic I that even halfway shows the tires.

How heavy are the Prostars? The crosslaces are only 16.7lbs.

Yah, now I cant remember the weight of my prostars and the rubber(28x12.5)
I'll have to take them off and weigh them unless someone can give me a wieght on them

IIRC, my 17" x 11" Snypers with the 315/35s mounted were just above 40lbs.
Next time I have them off I'll weight them.

wow, 295's on the stockers. What kind of tires are you planning on running? I can only find the old school looking BFG Radial T/As, they are only S rated. I bet it will look beefy though!

The BFGs are what I ran on my 92. In fact, the only 295/50/16s that I know of.

Re: 295/50/16 and GTA rims
Nice, the guys over on LS1Tech run those on the stock 16x8's as well, you should be ok. I think I am going to try the BFG 295/50/r16 all seasons and see how they like 400rwhp! Be sure to get lots of pictures when you get them mounted, they seem to be severely under documented on here lol

Re: 295/50/16 and GTA rims
Yeah, i've seen a pic or two on occasion and a lot of questions asking about them, but I guess due to the sheer size and obscurity of that size (for a street tire) they are just hard to find info on. If I get it done, I'll post pics, I need tires in about a month anyway.

my friend runs them on his 90 formy and its slammed, looks very nice imo. I'm going to run the same setup on my formy with my gta's. cooper also makes a 295/50/16.
