Hi I am wanting to know the widest tire I can put in my car I have the 16in wheels and would really like if it's possible to put 275 on them I just live the look of wide tires.

 

without changing the overall height of the tire, you are limited to about a 245 or 255 tire.

 

What if I change the overall tire you think I would be able to get 275's on heir or is that too wide.

 

have seen 295's on the stock wheels, but they are getting pretty tall at that point. Just check the tires manufactures recommended specs and see what the recommended minimum/max rim width is.

 

Whoa....You can't judge a tire simply by its width.

I've run the BFG 295/50R16 on stock wheels on my 1992 RS.

Stock 245/50s - 25.7"
BFGs 295/50s - 27.6"

Yes.....Almost a 2" difference overall, but my speedo wasn't off enough to cause me to go get the speedo gears in tranny changed out. Sorry, these are the only pics I have that kinda show it.

Those tires did not rub when you took turn and also around how many inches wide are the 295. Also around how much did each of your tires go around for.

 

It was in the mid 90s when I ram those & bought them locally. No idea what the price was. I know they didn't rub though & I had 255s up front that did rub at full turn. But I'm running 275s (on 17s) now that barely rub at full turn on one side & that is only due to a wreck that moved the inner fender liner enough to cause the rub. Before the wreck, the 275s didn't rub at all.

Thank you all very much i am gonna be running these setup until i have for some nice wheels. By the way does anyone one know what kind of wheels these are the ones on the camaro i love how those wheels look.
