Wow $300 each plus shipping is pretty expensive, I paid $200 each shipped about 6 years ago new from Ronal
Re: Interest In Ronal R15 rims Group Order
Hawks soLd Them for $899 + shipping = $1020 per seT
so now are the R15s frOM the 2006 run worth Less
i was offered $1500 for my mint siLver seT
so the price is the same for powdercoated windows
so that makes this deal better since they use to charge $400 more for PC
i would like to know how to switch out the emblems
and since i have the LS1s ima concerned about the tight clearance as well

Re: Interest In Ronal R15 rims Group Order
I ran across these OER Reproduction Ronal R15s. $319 each available now thru Jegs on Ebay, they have painted Red, Black, White or Polished Aluminum windows:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OER-K151795R...ba5fc2&vxp=mtr
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OER-K151795B...f3af3f&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OER-K151795W...f3ad14&vxp=mtr
Look like a good option as these are hard to find, i'll be the first to attest to that. Hopefully they have the offsets correct for front and rear. Appears to be worth a call to Jegs.

After re-reading this thread, I wonder how useful the wheels are today if they can't fit C5 brakes under them. CTW Motorsports wheels can fit the Baer Extreme Plus 14" kit (biggest off the shelf kit available) with ease and are 5lbs lighter each...

That is telling you that they have been stirring the pot for about 2 years to see if there was enough interest to reproduce them. Not weird in today's business environment, but a big let down anyway. They build aircraft carriers in about 2 years, right?
R15 Pre-Release Review
Update:
FIRST PEEK AT INITIAL SHIPMENT OF OER REPRODUCTION FIREHAWK/R15 STYLE WHEELS! Tell everyone you heard it here on thirdgen.org first!
Contrary to speculation, these wheels are a reality. Ronal showed no interest in running these wheels again, so we sought help from another supplier that we buy aluminum wheels from, OER - Original Equipment Reproduction. OER, has spent the last year or so acquiring original wheels to be used for engineering samples, perfecting the tooling and manufacturing processes to ensure the finished product meets stringent quality control requirements. It takes time to work through tooling process and quality control testing. We have seen the end result and believe the finished product was worth the wait. We thank everyone for their patience and hope thirdgen forum members will agree that this is a great new product. And it all came about due to the enthusiasm of thirdgen.org members.
At this time, wheel inventory is in our warehouse. And, the wheels are available for order, but because the accessory items (center caps and center cap bolts) are not ready for shipment yet, any orders are being held until they can ship complete. The center caps and center cap bolts are estimated to arrive in July, 2013.
Once all components are in stock, orders will be shipped to customers on a first order in, first order out basis.
Wheels are available in 4 colors

A variety of Center Cap Emblems are available separately to provide a custom touch.

Re: Interest In Ronal R15 rims Group Order
Yes. It is happening. These types of projects take much coordination, research, development time, quality control testing , etc., but we have completed the most time-consuming portions of that and have moved into the production phase. Wheels and center cap emblems are in stock, so now provided there are no surprises with production or shipping, customs clearances, etc., it should be just a matter of weeks for final delivery of all related accessories, center caps, center cap bolts, center cap bolt removal key, etc.. We are not shipping wheel sets until center caps and center cap bolts and keys arrive. At this time, the ETA on the accessories is early July.
Here is the link to wheels and accessories:
We have a Chevrolet Bow Tie and a Camaro logo center cap emblem at this time. What kind of IROC logo cap did you have in mind? Do you have an image of the particular logo you are interested in?

Classic1,
Any chance these will be offered with grey windows like the SLP versions? That colour always looked best to me:

Hello karl's-92'-z28,
This depends on the particular brake setup from what we understand. We have read that if the cars is set up properly, with 1LE front brakes and LS1 rear brakes, like SLP originally set up the Firehawks, that spacers are not required, but we cannot guarantee this. We have also read about some mods being done to tie rod ends to obtain proper clearance. There are many threads on this issue. We would encourage you to read through them to see the experiences others have had with these wheels. Hope this helps.
Here are some links to past threads discussing these issues:
What are the biggest brakes that will fit?
Clearance of the outer tie rod end
Chart with the brake data
Do I need a spacer?

No plans for gray inserts at this time. But we will mention this to product development team for further consideration. If sufficient demand is there, it may be possible.

According to our research and based on feedback from the enthusiast community, 1LE front brakes fit and LS1 rear brakes fit with this style wheel. But perhaps some of the members here at thirdgen.org could elaborate with their experiences to confirm this.

I second the notion of getting a group purchased organized.
With all the accessories needed like:
-The spacers for the front wheels (for stock F-bodies)
-The correct lug nuts to use - especially for the fronts due to the spacer needed
-Emblems for the center cap
-And of course, the center cap key and bolts

Hi 85_ZED28,
Yes. They are currently in development. Here is a link to selection of current colors and styles.
http://www.classicindustries.com/sea...20CAP%20EMBLEM
Additionally, some new logo choices are being offered as well, with the addition of Z28 and IROC-Z logos.
Interested parties can place a pre-order online. While there is no firm ETA on the gray at this time, black is in stock on some of the designs. In the past, these have turned around fairly quickly from development to production. So, I do not expect it to be very long before they are in stock and available for delivery.
We'd like to thank everyone here at thirdgen.org for the feedback and hope the community enjoys the new designs.

Unfortunately not. The Firehawk logo is a registered trademark of Firestone Tire. A manufacturer would need their permission or some type of licensing agreement in order to produce a product bearing their logo. I don't really see that being feasible, unfortunately.

I've been looking to grab a set of these in black; however, no one seems to know when they will ever be back in stock.
Re: Interest In Ronal R15 rims Group Order
The wheels are in stock, as are a variety of the center cap emblems. But, unfortunately, we cannot ship the wheels until the center caps come in. We should receive a quality control sample of the center cap within 30 days, and providing that the center cap sample passes our QC process, we hope to have everything back in stock within the next 45-60 days.
If you would like, you can place a pre-order for them. You will not be charged until the product comes in and the order is shipped.

Dont lose hope guys, there are originals available from time to time, and sometimes you can get a deal
you just have to find them. I thought $500 plus shipping for two was pretty good.

I am assuming the online price is also the gp price. But then I am sure everybody knows what happens when we assume.
Just thought of one more thing. Any chance of a gp on a wheel/tire combo?
Does anyone have the p/n for the lug nuts and spacers?
Thanks.

I was at SEMA a couple of weeks ago and Classic Industries had these wheels in their booth. When I asked about them, the gentleman I spoke with said they still aren't shipping because of the center caps. He gave me his card with his direct contact info. I'll send him an email and see if he can give me an update on the date they'll start going out.
