Fitting a 315/30R18x11 should be the exact same as fitting a 315/35R17x11, and I've seen several old threads showing and telling how to do that. In fact, your overall diameter should be a hair less, making it slightly easier for you.

Yep should be the same. I got 295/30/19's on the car with plenty of room to go abit wider. I want to swap to 18's so I can get a good drag radial like a 315/30 or 305/35 or something.

Re: 315/30r18 Anyone running this size?

Thanks guys. I think I should make my first post a little clearer. I understand the measurements of the two tires and know that I can make them work under there... I'm really looking for a pic of the 315 so I can see which sidewall height I'm gonna like better... Trying to visualize how they will sit in the fenderwell.

Re: 315/30r18 Anyone running this size?

i can get pics tommorow of a 335/30/18 bfg tire, same height, so the sidewall will be the same if that helps. None that i have show the side wall very well, all are angle shots

the sidewall bulge would be the same as this if you use a 18x11

the 295/30 is pretty short, only 25" tall, i defiantly would no go that route.

Is that a 335 on there? Looks like your backspacing has that set pretty deep into the wheel well. What did you mod to get a 335 to tuck that far into the wheel well?

From my measurements the 315 should like up almost perfectly even with the fender lip. I will need to roll the inner edge.

The sidewall of a 335/30 is gonna be taller than a 315/30... Post a pic for me to see how you stuffing the 335s anyway... but still looking for pics of 315/30r18

Re: 315/30r18 Anyone running this size?

yeah they are taller, but its about .2 or somthing overall taller, so its close enough?

i dont remember how old that pic is, so that may still be the 245/40/18, but it sits in the same spot and the current wheel, since i just had 4" added to the inside of those exact wheels to make the 12"...

the car is minitubbed, the wheels are 18x12 with 8.5" of BS. so the outside of the wheel is where a stock 16x8 "front" would be. In reality, they are only 1/2" in from the quarter panel lip, it looks like more, but if you use a straight edge, its really not.

a little bit of clearancing is needed...

the 315/30 is a odd size, i dont think i have ever seen anybody here use that size. generally, the large rear tire people use 15x10's or 17x11's.

what wheel are you using? i think you would be looking for something like 7" of BS to be flush?

Re: 315/30r18 Anyone running this size?

Yeah I was just surprised where the tire sat in there. Most guys on the site (or at least since I have been back) aren't mini tubbed to be able to run that kind of back spacing, and or a 335! I wanna run a 335 so bad LOL!

Yeah I'm pretty sure that the size is a newer size in the BFG line cause last time I looked 3 years ago it went from a 295 straight to a 335 in the 18" sizes.

I haven't been around or paying much attention to my Camaro and who has the new cool **** for it, so I asked, just incase

Guess I might have to be the first one!

Well I couldn't find any pics of third gens, but here is a couple pics mounted up on a cobra on a 18x10... A little bit of bulge, but not horrible.

The new pics you put up look nice man!

Quite an old post but I was just wondering how your search went. I just picked up some wheels with 315/30r18s on them and trying to get a little info on what all I need to do to get them to fit.
