hello all!!

i have an 82 z28 pace car, and i want to replace my tires with something a bit wider to make the car look a little better.

the original tire size is 215/65/15

what should i put on this car that will look better on these stock rims?

When I had 15s on my 88, I had 235/60s up front and 245/60s in the back. Radial T/A's with the white letters showing, Nice wide tire for 235s, as wide as my 255/50/16s that I have now.

Here's a pic of the width of the 235s. Dont have one of the 245s but just add 10mm

I have 235/60/15s on those rims, and they give the perfect look. They're wide enough to look pretty aggresive, but not too big so that they buldge off and don't look right. You can't get any better!

I agree with the 235/60R15 size. But for the 2 actual pace cars, Chevy used 245/60R15.
I have 235/60s on those same 15x7 wheels, on the back of my '86 Camaro, right now.
I don't like the Cooper Cobra, I think the Eagle GTII is garbage, I think the BFG Radial T/A is great for the rear, even in snow, but not the front, even on perfect dry pavement. I'm thinking of trying Firestones on the front next time.

 

I bought at low price four Kumho Solus KH15 225/60W15 that are very adaptive performance tires to wet & dry. It really looks pretty good with 15x7 wheels..! Speed rating W support up to 168 mph.
