NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

well, i am finally got a good set of wheels with no spacers. they are a licensed american racing wheel, 18x8 front 4.5 b.s. and 18x9 rear 5.0 b.s. fitment is just plain great. no rubbing, should get the motor back in within the next week and a half. Comments?

Nice! Looks real good. Only thing is too much fender gap. Is it lowered?

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

it is lowered, the motor is not in....getting fixed. and the gas tank is empty. i'll see what it looks like when both gas and motor are in. possibly cut 1/2 coil off the eibach sportlines.

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

Why only 8" up front? Coulda easily gone 9" all the way around & I think the 5"bs works for a 18" wheel up front.

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

wasn't quite sure if it would work with 9 wide. i thought about it, but in the end i knew 8 would work and i don't have time to ship back if i was wrong. motor is getting put back in very soon so i can start driving it again.

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

9" w/4.5" bs fits. 4.75" bs won't, on a 17". 4.5" is that close.

On a 18", the wheel will clear the tie rod & a deeper bs will fit.

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

well the engine is in and running. I am currently on vacation in Mi and will get new tags so i can drive her when i get back. My father-in-law said the front end is really low...and that the rear should come down some. So I'll be cutting 1/2 a coil as soon as i get back. no pics yet. I will have some in 10 days.

Re: NEW WHEELS/TIRES!! big pics.

The gap is always going to look larger with that camera angle.

Bring the camera up some and I bet it looks killer.
Love the rake even like this though.

By the way IMO you did the right thing staggering the wheels like that with the "Torque Thrust" style wheels.

They are old school, and the staggered deeper dish in the rear , and slight rake is what you want.

Very aggressive looking !

Beautiful car.
