You can run vette and 4th gen wheels without adapters. But the rear end is stronger and depending on your gear it will probably be a step up there too. Keep the rear for sure.

gearing, maybe, but his 91 will have 28 spline axles too, so no difference in strength.

As mentioned, it's still just a 7.5 10-bolt. No stronger than anything else.

HOWEVER - it may hve the Zexel Torsen posi carrier which is super rad. I'd love to have a 10-bolt with a zexel torsen! So if you junk it at least pull the axles and pull the carrier out of it.

Re: Rear Question

Well it looks like the only only real difference is that the rotors on this 4th gen have a built in spacer, the rear ends are identical. Is this what allows you to run 4th gen wheels on a third gen car, just checking.

I'm unsure of what spacer you're referring to. Have a pic? The fourthgen rears are, of course, a bit wider.

Any pics? Your rotor description sounds like a rotor with the adapter still on it.

Re: Rear Question

Okay maybe it is just a heavier duty rotar, question is I can run the 4th gen wheels on the rear and front with no spacers correct?

Re: Rear Question

with both rears side by side, axle flange to axle flange measurement on the 82-92 car is 61.72” and the axle flange to axle flange measurement on the 93-02 car is 64.72”.

You may find the following FAQ concerning 10-bolts interesting:

Re: Rear Question

Yes it was, I was also looking at your pic's, I will be running 4th gen wheels so I will not stick out (though I do like the look) Lots of good info. I measured mine just because I heard so many differant sizes at every way I turned
