C5 Z06 or SS SLP wheels?

Looking at wheels lately. Thinking of some C5 Z06 or 2002 SS SLP wheels. What size adaptors will I need? If you have pics of these wheels on your car please feel free to post. Any suggestions or tips will help. Thanks!

I would go with the ZR1's. The C5 Z wheels are way over used and the ZR1's look much better.

Honestly I like the '91-'92 wheels so much I wouldn't Really ever change them, and if I did I would keep the originals. But ZR1s are usually swapped onto thirdgens.

Thanks for the input. I'm open for any wheel suggestions as well. I really like the ZR1's, but I think the only look good in chrome/polished. Not sure if I want to go that way yet. I just had a bunch of suspension stuff done and dropped the car a bit. I think it needs a new look.

I also am a big fan of the 91-92 wheels. I just wish I could get a bigger tire on them. From what I have been told, a 255 is as wide as I can go. With the offset they have I wonder if having the wheels widened is an option? I will definitely be keeping my original wheels no matter what decision I make. Everyone here in Michigan is doing the really big iroc wheels, 18's and 20's. That is a bit much for me. If I go with 18's I really like the C-5 wheels. We shall see..

Zr1 wheels make these cars look really wide, these are 17x9.5 up front and 17x11 out back, get compliments all the time around town even tho my paint is junk, lol

What size adapters did you use front and rear?

I used a 2 1/4" up front and im running a 4th gen rear end so no adapters out back, although I want to swap an LS1 rear end in there because those are a 1/4" narrower on both sides then the LT1 rear that I've got and that would tuck the wheels in more and look better

Thanks for the info. The wheels are going on the back burner for a while. I think I have an axle bearing making some noise. While I'm in there I might as well do rear brakes, axle seals, and all the other bearings. I will post pics as soon as I get the wheels.

Re: C5 Z06 or SS SLP wheels?

instead of replacing all that stuff, why not just swap in a 4th gen rear? You will get better rear brakes out of it

I'm planning on a Moser 9 inch in the spring. I will probably do the disc brake upgrade then. Just trying to get what I have to make it til its time to store the car for the winter. I just bought all the parts today, minus the axles. Hopefully I didnt scrap mine by driving the car with a bad bearing.

Nice man! I think they all look pretty good! I'll see if I can find a picture of the slp ones that I am talking about. What about the adapters? What size did you use?

Re: C5 Z06 or SS SLP wheels?

i wanna say i got my adaptors from third gen ranch or hawks. i believe those adaptors will allow you to mount the 4th gen wheels on a third gen. if you go aftermarket, you just need to make sure you get the offsets for a fourth gen.
