Quick Question About Stock Z28 Wheels.

Were those wheels made in more than one size?

I just want to make sure they didn't make different widths of those wheels if I am buying them online and don't have an opportunity to measure them.

Thank you for any help.

Thank you, saw a set online that had a set of 225 tires on them, just wanted to make sure the rims didn't come in a 6 or 7 inch width.

Thanks again

That is because the 245 tires are practically extinct these days, 225-55 will work in it's place...

Re: Quick Question About Stock Z28 Wheels.

Just to make sure all bases are covered, the front and rear have different offsets on factory sets. The front offset is 0 and the rears are deeper(can't remember measurement but it's on this site). The rears won't work on the front but you can run as many fronts as you like.

I really love those wheels, best looking stock camaro wheels in my opinion. I run a 245 front and 255 rear tire on mine. Difference is minimal, but nice.

Yep, 16x8 They also used that wheel on some of the S10 SS trucks and the S10 ZQ8 package.

Re: Quick Question About Stock Z28 Wheels.

The wheels used on trucks have the same offset all around, front and rear. That offset (on the truck) differs from both front and rear Z28 wheels. They're specific for trucks. The differance is minimal though, the wheels should still fit. Also, I think there may be an issue with camaro center caps fitting those wheels.

I have no first hand knowledge, but I was trying to replace a messed up Z28 wheel with a truck wheel, going back a while. Decided againt it based on info from this site. I think it was a post in the for sale section, with the seller explaining the wheels, in detail, in his description.

Our 16x8" 0mm offset front rims would have 4.25" of backspacing. The positive 16mm rear rims (16mm/25.4 = 0.63") have about 4.9" of backspacing
