z06 17 inch wheels with 275/45s. spacer size??

Hey guys.
I tries searching and couldn't find an answer but I am looking to get a set of z06 rims 17 inch with 275/45s on them. Mybuddy came up we put them on the car and they rub front and rear.

Was seeing if any one has this set up or close to it on there car. I wanna no what size spacers I need. I have disc brakes all the way around and stock rear I might swap it out for a 12 bolt but that's no time soon.

Anyideas will help I was thinking 1 inch all the way around but wasn't sure.

2 inch

if you get a 12 bolt get a 4th gen style it will bolt in and you wont need spacers for newer wheels anymore

Alright so ill get 2inch all the way around for now and when i get a rear it will be 4th gen style then no rear spacers.

Do I need to modify the fenders at all so they don't rub? My car isn't lowered yet..

Yes I did mean 275/40/17 but he's trying to get me to run something like a 275/80/17 but thats going to pretty tall of a tire right?

I'm kinda set on 275/40's I think they look nice on our cars I never really like the super thick tires but i don't like rubber bands either

I've never seen a 275-45 or 275-50 car tire for the 17" size, if that is what you mean...

The 275-40-17 size is excellent for a few reasons:

1) It is 30mm wider than the largest 3rd gen OEM size of 245-50-16

2) There are something like 40 different tires availabile in that size

3) A 17" x 9.5" wheel and tire is not all that much heavier than a 245-50-16 sized one in most cases, once you move up to 18" and larger the weight goes up (more metal than tire)

4) 17" tire with a 25.75" diameter is an excellent tradeoff of sidewall to wheel ratio - add that to a 30mm increase in width and you can totally change the handling of a car - with just a change of shoes

275/80/17???? Thats a huge tire!

I don' think it even exists.

BFG makes a 275/70/17, in an All Terrain Truck tire!

Thats a 32.2" tall tire!

Re: z06 17 inch wheels with 275/45s. spacer size??

hi everyone, so im looking to put C6 Z06 18x8.5 fr and 18x9.5 re.

does it have to be 2inch spacers or will 1.5in work?

also, does anyone have a similiar setup and with a lowered car and have problems with tires touching the top of the inner fenders or quarters going over speed bumps or small pot holes?

thanks for any info!

I have an 86 with 18s up front and 19s in the rear and used 2" spacers off ebay and the fronts fit perfect with a 245/30/18 tire on it. The rears however rub somewhere even with a 2.5" spacer. I think 275 out back would not rub on 17s or 18s
