16 inch tire poll

Hey guys. Looking to replace the 225 Walmart specials on my 92 Camaro with a 245 50 16 tire. I'm leaning more toward the summer performance category as this car won't see snow or cold weather, but they gotta be able to handle rain too. Tire rack and searching the board narrowed it down to three that I think would work for me, just wanted some first hand insight as to what would be best. Motor is stock tbi, added poly sway bar+end links and tds Wonderbar so far. Daily driver that I like to beat on every once and awhile. Thanks!
Bfg sport comp 2's / Firehawk Wide oval Indy 500/ Bfg Gsport super sport A/S
What do you think?

Sport comps stand out to me as the best summer tire there. Either way, any that you listed will be a noticeable step up

Great tire, but in reality - the only affordable choice among what is still available in 245-50-16 at this point in time.

Re: 16 inch tire poll

Alright! That's the kind of info I wanted to see to help me figure out what i was gonna get. The sport comp 2's are only $5 more a tire then the Firestones, and $21 bucks a tire cheaper then the Bfg ss a/s, but seem to have the best reviews here and on the rack. Feel free to keep posting if you have more input (I know more confused/on the fence people will appreciate it).
Any thoughts on the noise "issues" some people have with these? Are their ears and egos just more sensitive? Thanks again guys!

I just got BFG Sport Comp-2's mounted on my new wheels, They get the best reviews except for noise. I plan to use mine for street/autocross.

Has anybody ran the Kumho Ecsta, Sears has them on sale for $90.00 a tire. I would like the sport comps, but they are $35.00 a tire more

The Kumhos in the 245-50-16 size are all seasons. If you need all seasons, get them - otherwise save up for the BFG.

I got a set of general altimax tires in 245-50-16 for my car they handle great wet or dry and appear to be wearing well. but my car is just a driver. some of the pseudo racers would choose a more expensive tire, however these were $550 for a set
