want a clean look
I don't care how many ppl weigh in. I want a clean 5 spoke wheel. I am looking for a 18/19 combo possibly 19/20 and the widest I can get for stock height that will also loo great with a 1in-1.5in drop in the future. I know that puts me close to 8in in the front and about 10in in the rear I love Sickness91Z28 (intros) but cant swing the price even in my wildest dreams so what shoes did you budget builders put on your cars that still made them look sick!!!!! to the bone. I'm saving so I'm a little ways off but I would love to get some ideas.
p.s
I seen someone with some size 3?? in the rear of theirs and it just looked awesome. lets see some of yours. I thought about so 91-92 z28 wheels 19/18 combo what do yall think?

I'm going to suggest you look at an 18" wheel for all 4 corners on your car - wheels and tires are less expensive, it will ride better, and you will have less chance of damage from potholes and the like.
In terms of width, a 18" x 9.5" wheel with a 275-35-18 tire is going to be stock diameter (no issues with speedo as an example) and will give you 120mm more tire than the stock 245-50-16 can.
Is your budget just for wheels, or is it for both wheels and tires?

Re: want a clean look
good point! I hadn't thought of that I guess just wheels the 15's that I have are brand new and I plan on wearing them out first and I wont be driving the car much anyway. and I see what your talking about the staggered fitments are more expensive and could lead to some other unknown purchases/fixes. ok. you got any rim suggestions?

Re: want a clean look
Most of those "concave"(I really hate that term) 3 piece wheels are uncertified Chinese ripoff garbage. The parts shipped from China get bolted together here so they all say "Made in the USA" anyway but the truth is out there if you search for it. Just be careful. And yes, Im talking about the $4k-$10k sets.
Your best bet is to get some cheap repro wheels from oewheelsllc or something. They're not as good quality as OEM but they're usually not known for being weak or unsafe so much as being heavier. Ive seen a couple break in really, really high hp road race cars, but we're talking 750+hp on road race slicks. These guys also use proven factory designs, so that takes a big part of the strength question out of the equation.

Have you looked into Weld RTS? They're more functional than ostentatious, but they may fit the bill for you. They're still not cheap, but they're priced very well for what they are and they're VERY strong.

Re: want a clean look
friggin sweet! I'm leaning toward the black chrome with my all white car w/red int. and the 18x8/19x10 split and later on maybe lowering car by 1.5-2in. that is friggin sweet. idk why more ppl haven't used them but I'm glad I guess you and I will be the only ones
thx that's what I need to know. someone told me that the ones from oewheels will save me some money and are still just as strong so give me by the end of the summer and its on!
have you seen the gsport concepts look at the above post and copy and paste in your address bar. they are sweet too!

Re: want a clean look
My car is on lowering springs, also keep in mind I did the ls swap which is lighter then an old sbc block, so I may cut a half coil off the front and rear. Before I do this I'm waiting to see the car complete and on all four wheels then go from there.

Re: want a clean look
ok ok ok did some honest digging and found out that the 19x12 idea is out the window. NO MINITUB! there is no way I'm hacking up my baby. so I guess the staggered look will be 18x8 and 19x9.5 and just get some wider tires for the rear. I still am looking for the gsports but will have to do some searching for someone to blackchrome them.

You could go with some Boss 338's like I have. 18X8 and 18X9.5
No fitment issues and I'm lowered about an inch.

Re: want a clean look
I really hate C5 wheels because they're always chrome. Yours look AMAZING in that soft metallic silver mixed with your flat black paint. Is that really nice looking primer, or is it legit flat black paint? Because it looks incredible. Please dont black out the wheels, they add a perfect contrast to the rest of the car. If they were some blingy chrome I'd say go for it, but that looks fantastic the way it is.
