?? bf goodrich g-sport vs bf goodrich g-sport comp-2
I currently have the g-sport tires on my car and with out a doubt since the day they were installed they are the worst tire i have EVER owned.
I see all sorts of good reviews for the newer version "comp-2" so.......... my question is have any of you run the g-sport tires and now the comp-2 ? I want to know how they honestly compare not going off the manufacture claims of 8% traction increase.
the tread looks the same and with the experience I had im very reluctant to even give them a chance.

I haven't used the G-sport tires, but I recently replaced my Michelin tires with the BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 tires and I have to say I am very impressed with the tires in both dry and wet conditions.

that's encouraging!
the g-sport is of course horrible now that they are so old but i originally went from a potenza (sorry cant recall the model) to the g-sport which had a better feel going into a turn (more responsive) but would not hold the rear as well and would slide with minimal throttle. the potenza however felt less responsive but would hold the rear through a turn.
hope this makes sense.. I really dont push the car hard so i was beyond disappointed with the switch back then and now hope to put a better tire on

I run 275/40R17 Comp-2's on all four corners. They're my first tire since switching to 17" wheels from the factory 15's so I know my endorsement only goes so far but I will say there has yet to be an on-ramp or curve where I felt the tires were limiting me.

I recently bought the Comp-2s and have been happy with them. They hold pretty well, and even the one time I got caught in a sudden, persistent hour long downpour on the highway, I never felt any loss of traction. Very impressed with them so far.

+1They keep my car stuck to the road with the ls1 for power supplier. Even under power in rain it still has traction. GREAT tire.
