I need help identifying the type of these older GM rims to find out their dimensions like offset and bolt circle diameter.
Only thing I found was a "7-92" stamped on the backside of the rim. They came with my '91 Firebird but I never used them, I prefer the original Pontiac rims.
I am always overwhelmed by the support this board offers even with such 'stupid' and 'simple' questions.
On the backside it also reads "GM" next to the "7-92" so I thought it must be GM rims. But thanks to your information I am now confident that those are American Racing wagon wheels... They have had a chrome/steel finish before the previous owner painted them black. In case I want to sell them it is important to know the type.
Using a tape measure is fine, but not for german state inspection. They like to be presented with the original parameters as specified by the manufacturer. Maybe I can also find something on the inside by breaking the tire off, thanks for the hint!
the GM probably signifies that it's a GM bolt pattern. If you know the size (like, 15x7, etc) you might be able to just look up a "new" set and get the paramenters off whoever is selling the new set.
