Where to look

I got a 91rs with fourthgen disk rear. No tub. And stock front. Is there a staggered set or a website that would work for my purpose? Looking for 18's maybe 19's if price/style is right . Biggest/widest I can go in rear? Thx fellas.

Re: Where to look

I’m not sure what’s the absolute widest that will fit, but I have a 275/35/18 tire on the front, and 275/40/18 in the rear. I’m running 2 inch spacers on the front due to having corvette wheels, but if you get a wheel with the correct offset, you could fit that size without spacers. I also have a 4th gen rear that’s a bit wider, so I can fit those wheels without spacers in the back.

It is a little tight with the 275’s and 9.5’s right now. I thiiiiiink, the widest you can go is about a 295 tire on a 10.5 inch rim in the rear before hammering is required, but don’t quote me on this. You made need to hammer to get those to fit.

Re: Where to look

Buddy that's allot of meat. Looks flawless. I love the black chrome grand sports. But of course that requires mini tub. I was already confused about wheel fitment. But when I got 3.42 fourth gen. I definitely need advice. Love staggered look of five spokes. Don't have money for minitub. Glad to see someone who has really done it

Re: Where to look

From what I understand, you shouldn't need to tub the rear for 275/40/18, especially with the wider 4th gen rear.....of course....wheel offset plays into that, but still. Those dimensions are pretty far from pushing the limits, relatively speaking

When we were looking into the sizing for the new 6LE wheels, I found that 295 seemed to be the limit with a stock diameter of about 25.5"/26". Some had it work, some had to "finesse" it a little. ....275/35/18 should be an easy fit out back.

....now those 275/40/18 wheels are closer to 26.7" tall, and things get tighter, but should still fit.....albeit maybe with some massaging needed for some.

Re: Where to look

Depending on your offsets and overall diameter, you can fit a 305 tire in the rear without a tub. You will probably need to massage the inner fender though. 285 can fit all four corners.

Re: Where to look

Just remember that gorgeous wheels and a gorgeous car don't mean the two were meant to go together. I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like modern wheels on older cars.

I like a little lip, a little dish, and simpler lines. Again...just opinion.

Or

https://stockwheelsolutions.com/wheels-for-chevrolet/18-chevrolet-corvette-grand-sport-chrome-wheel-18x9-5-rim/

Can't find any info on the grand sports but the splits are hub size 67.1.

I think the thirdgwn fronts and fourth gen rears are hub size 70.3 so they might be out of the question. But I do love the concave.

I have not found but would love staggered 18" black chrome irocs #drool
