I had mine done a few years ago and with the clear coat the popped! Plus the clear coat prevents the normal oxidisation of the aluminum if they are exposed to the elements.
Only catch is that most of these look better after being refinished than they did new. GM left a rough surface, almost like a record when the wheels were machined. The refinishers seem to be making them a little too smooth. Either way they look great!

I agree. They look awesome rudolphshenker. I love the gold IROC rims especially in that style. They're a great match for the 3rd Gen. They do look better than factory. The satin finish blends nicely with your color scheme. How much to get your refinished?
That's about right. I paid $225 Canadian for mine but that's prepped, painted, lathed and cleared. I know I could have bought aftermarket ones for less but there's something about those rims that just match these cars perfectly IMO.

Completely agree! Stock rims fit the look of the car best!
