I agree. I just wish there was better tire availability for the 16s. Honestly, I'm close to just sending the originals to get refinished and selling these 17s since they have zero miles on them.

Yeah, the 16's are actually quite light, and the 17's are pigs! If I remember correctly, the 16's are close to 18 lbs, and the 17's are close to 29lbs. ....it was a significant difference. Don't quote me on those numbers, as it's been awhile, but it was a LOT.

I see the Hawk 17x9 repos at Camaro car shows a lot. They look very good.
Lots of 255/40r17 or 275/40r17 tires to pick from.
16s have basically nothing left for good tires.
it's all 400-500 tread wear tires in those sizes.
15s are just as bad
That's typically why I recommend the 17s to people
Tires are everything.

True, but depends what you're doing with the car. Wasn't too long ago we were all on 14's and 15's. We managed. -but in the performance car conversation, yeah, I agree.

15, and 16s have basically no good tires left outside short Miata sizes.
Even 17s are losing selection.
18s are stable, but eventually will be the same way.

I did change out my front wheel studs to the longer ones mentioned above from Amazon. Rears had plenty of bite on stock studs with no spacer.
