Hi all,
I want to change the look of my car. I'm not the biggest fan of the IROC wheels that are stock, so I wanted some suggestions on some new wheels. I had previously tried to put on some corvette rally wheels that some guy who had them on his third gen sold me, but they didn't fit my car (he had a 92' RS). Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

 

I'm not a fan of the 1988-90 IROC wheels either, the 1985-87 are much better looking IMO.

I also think the 17 inch 1996-02 SS/1994-95 ZR1 wheels look great too, but only if they're painted Silver. Can't stand them in chrome. Honestly, those are really the only 2 wheels that I like on 3rd gen Camaros.

I think rallys would be a HUGE downgrade on an IROC, to the point that I'd question whether or not the car is actually an IROC. Rallys really shouldn't be put on anything past the early 1970s, IMO.

Im not into 60s and 70s wheels on 80s cars... I like a decent lip on an IROC like a GTA wheel... Or something that fits the boxiness, stripes and decals... I think the 91/92 Z28s can get away with more choices since they have no decals, stripes, etc... More of a blank canvas and less style clashing... I like the Vette C5 Z06 wheels on IROCs...

 

Well your IROC wheels are mint looking, mine are pretty worn. Still don't really like them personally though haha. Might go with the C5 ZO6's, I'd like to see them on a third gen camaro though before I buy. I too have an 88 IROC. I switched over to the 25th anniversary 16's. Soo much better IMO. Took me several months checking Craigslist. Picked these up for $225 with rubber.

 

Hey, to each their own... I had a guy at a cruise night try to tell me my wheels were aftermarket... Some people didn’t notice they changed the IROC wheel halfway through...

The second pic I put of the black 91/92 Thirdgen had chrome Z06 wheels... I think those look nice on IROCs... Could even get blank center caps and have IROC-Z decals put on...

yes.

 

I think you need spacers with any non-IROC wheel because the offset on the OEM wheel with “Front” and “Rear” being different.

Even the Hawks 17” Replica IROC wheels come with spacers for the front.

 

Okay will keep that in mind, need to figure out how big of spacers I’ll need.
