C6 Z06 wheels

I just bought the chrome c6 z06 wheels. They are 18x9.5 with a 40 offset all around. tried looking for a post for tire sizes that fit nice but didn't find much. my car has a 4th gen rear end and stock suspension. I will be getting the 2" spacers up front like everyone else is doing. what would be the best tire size to fit around? also i will be lowering the car sometime soon.

I have C6 wheels also. I have the 5 spoke stagger set that the rears are larger. For the front, 18x9.5 with the 2" spacers I run a 245/40/18. These clear the inner fender and I have no rubbing with stock front suspension. This size should work for the rear also.

I am also on corvette wheels with those same widths and offsets. I also am using a fourth gen rear. Because I have the C4 corvette brakes up front I am using a 1.5 spacer there. I am running 275-40-18 front and back. I do have some rubbing on full lock turns like in a parking lot. My car is not lowered. In the past I have run 285's on the rear with out problems. When I auto crossed the car I used 275-35-18 all around.

Re: C6 Z06 wheels

On a 9.5" wide rear I would use no narrower than a 275. 245 is a bit too narrow.

I'm using the C6 245/40 18's up front with no rubbing. I currently am using 2" spacers with the stock brakes and have zero rubbing issues. However I just purchased C6 front brakes and was not aware of having to use 1.5" spacers with the C6 brakes . Sounds like they might stick out too much with the 2" spacer and C6 brakes..right?

If your new brake setup will use a cut down third gen rotor to mount your new rotor , then it will move the wheel mount surface outward at least 1/2 inch depending on the thickness of you new rotor.

how is the fitment in the rear? I have an '86 Z28, I am waiting to get the staggered 5 spoke C6 wheels back from powder coat. I am going to be running with a quick performance 9" rear with the housing for a fourth gen. I didn't order the rear end like that. I bought it off a fellow Canadian who was nice enough to pay all the shipping, duties and brokerage fees lol.

Are they the standard C6 wheels or the Z06 wheels? Standard C6 rears will fit fine with your 4th gen spaced rear, albeit with a small (1.25" maybe) spacer.

I had these on my car and they rubbed like crazy. I made it down the street to take these pics then they came off and were sold.

Where did they rub, front or rears?
