Was there a "ZF" option?

The other day in the Friday's parking lot I see a 85-87 Sport Coupe, white, with several stripes around it, and it had the letters "ZF" on the rear bumper and fenders.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I have this on my 84 Camaro. As far as i can figure out, it is a dealer installed appearence package on 4 and 6 cylinder cars. It consists of Z28 style lettering in the back with ZF, ZF decals on the door handles, a ZF emblem on the console, and a woodgrain dash with a ZF emblem. It looks very tacky if you ask me, but I do have the only camaro around with a wood dash. The reason I haven't dumped all the stuff is that I am trying to find out if its worth anything other than being an oddity.

As Drew has alluded to, this has been mentioned before...

To keep you from having to search , here's the details. It was a dealer installed appearance option, who knows how many were made, there is no real value to them, and the kit was normally (if not always) put on a Sport Coupe...

ZF

ZF was a dealer ordered option mainly from pennsylvania and conneticut dealers....the conversion was preformed by ASC....and included woodgrain, emblems, sunroof (not always) and maybe more....this is what i have come up with since buying my ZF coupe 10 years ago....most i have seen have been 6 cylinder cars,,,sooo far mine is the only v8 car i have personally seen,,not saying its the only one ,,just that its all i have seen/.. my car also was ordered as a radio delete car and had the f41 suspension...all i hav ejustr listed i can back up with documentation in teh forms of my original build sheet , where it shows being shipped to ASC before being sent to the dealer,,as well as my factory GM invoice....i am by no means stating a high value,,but the package is indeed real ...any body interested in discussing these cars with me please email me at kmccraw914@cs.com
