well it depends on the amount of airspace you need, that will help determine your demensions.

I need about 1 cu. ft of airspace for each sub. They are either going to be Infinty Kappa or Infinty Perfect 12'' subwoofers. I do own a tape measure, but Im not very good with cutting wood, and i need speicifc dimensions so my friend can go ahead and put together the box.

Before you all get to high and mighty, the search function is disabled for now as it crashes the board.

yeah, i'm glad i held onto that diagram from when i built my first box (2-3 yrs ago). i post it about once a month around here. a sticky would be a good idea. too bad i dont know who i snagged that pic from. want to give credit where credit's due.....one of few who actually spent time on a schematic now if only i stopped being lazy, i'd be able to make a diagram of my 1/2 well single 12" box....

The dimensions in that picture are wrong. The notch for the top is too small and doesnt match up with the bottom. I just tried to remodel it in autoCAD and it had me pulling out my hair trying to figure it out. =P

Has anyone actually built this box?

Has anyone actually built this box? I keep reading that posts that say the dimensions are off and others that state they have never built their box from this blue print.... I have a couple of buddies and we are all getting together this weekend to build speakler boxes. They are building for home but I'm building for the bird. Thanks!

For this question especially. Now you how it feels after you have been on the boards for a while, and keep hear the same question asked over and over.

Thats how I became the "do a search" king.

one thing that has always bothered be about this bored is everyone says do a search. this bored is so old and ocntains so much info i am sure almost every question has been answered already. so if everyone did a search there would be no discussion. and since there are so many topics some times its hard to go through the otn of info there is to get an answer.

When I do a search most of the times, I find a thread relevant to the search and the only response inside is "Do a search".

I'm sure every question has been answered and when people do this crap by saying nothing but "do a search", that makes a search all that much harder. All it does is bury the thread I'm looking for deeper and deeper.

Not pointing fingers, but if I see a thread that's been asked a million times, I just answer it anyway.

Not only do I feel old, now i'm starting to get old. See it happens after you have been hear for awile, and I guess it is expected. This is a question of a newbie. I think it should be accepted, as long as the user only has like up to 300 posts. If we know they have been using the board for a long time, then I think we have the right to get mad.

I doubt a FAQ or even a sitcky would do any good if people can't search. It took me one try to find many posts about the dimensions of a sub box...

Your right, there isn't really anything for that. People who want to ask a question, are going to ask anywayz. there is nothing you and I can do about it.

Just say whateverz

its getting to the point righ tnow... wher ethirdgen.org can be shutdown, and a well worded search will answer any problem...

however as time progresses certain things are begining to break down at the same time...

and those bring about new posts...
