One hose should feed through the firewall for the A/C control head, the other should return from the A/C control head to the heater control valve.

The shorter of the two connects to the plenum vacuum port nearest the Distributor.

ok how can i say this..... its like right by the distributor on the pass side, its low in there and its a little black thing with 2 openings on the top. one little hose goes in one and the other little hose goes in the other. it just fits right in. i dont know how else to explain it and i dont know what its called off the top of my head.

The part of the hose with the 90* end on it goes to a port under the bottom of the driver's side of the throttle body. The straight end sticks out the passerger side of the thorttle body and is 1 of 2 hoses that goes to the charcoal canister.

That should help some.

thanks! I have a terrible idle right now, even the engine dies sometimes at a stop, could vacuum lines connected incorrectly do this?

Sure I don't see why fixing that wont hurt. You should have a vacuum leak now at idle/low throttle. Once the blades open up there is less vacumm on that port so less of a leak. At least thats how it was explained to me.
