84customz28, i cant wait to get my grubby little hands on one...

do you mess with people a lot with it?, i mean at a stop light, just flip it and give it some gas and all that ... i would be using it all the time..

also, can you flip it with no probs at speed, or even at wot or 3/4 throttle? i dont think there would be a problem with it, but the thought of a sudden change of backpressure has crossed my mind..
but one thing tho, i would like to see if there is a difference while cruising at highway speed, if it would help gas mileage or anything like that...

p.s.- i like the pic!!

Well...actaully...when the cutout is wide open at idle...and when I give it some gas....it really dosen't sound all that good....it's just super super super loud.....but...when I'm driving....omg..it sounds REALLY REALLY great..! really strong..it has the "raw" sound to it. IT drowns out my stereo completely when the volume is up around 20..lol. And it dosen't matter when you flip the switch at any speed....it works the same..no problems at all. It's cool...because..I can set it how loud I want it....from inside the car....As far as "playin around".....hehe..well....around here...we have quit a few ricers....when I pass them..I don't have to give it much gas at all...the sound is sooooo loud..it just SLAMS right in their ear....!...and it's just..like deafening loud...sounds like a NASCAR...lol...I make sure to close it up when the cops are around........here is a picture of my switch and L.E.D.

Another reason to quit

I'm putting my switch where my window and trunk release switches are.

I ordered the chrome toggle switch (the one that comes with it), but they made a mistake and gave me an upgraded one which I like better. Here's a pic, not the best pic, but it'll do.

And if you don't wanna quit smokin, you can at least quit smokin in your poor car

It looks like it in the picture, but its an on-off switch like the window switches. It'll match better than the chrome toggle switch.

Well I checked McCord's website, and it looks like they changed the standard switch to the one they gave me. Here is a better picture of it from their site:

That's really a pretty good idea...how McCord changed the design of the switch. I had my 1st toggle switch installed that came with the cutout. It ended up breaking..and I had to send it back to get a new one. I think it's a good idea to have a push-button switch..good up-grade..

Yeah I like the switch a lot. With the chrome toggle switch, I wasn't gonna mount it under the trunk release switch cause it would be too easy to hit with my elbow. This one you actually have to press. I can't wait to get mine installed.

The fbody.com one is over, but you guys can email them and try and start another. If you get 25 people I think, you save $16. And you'll hear bad things about both the McCord Power Plate and the QTEC version. I went with McCord because they have a better warrenty. I haven't installed it yet, but I'll be sure to post pics and vids when I do

So you have to have a regular cut out welded in first, then bolt the power plate on? is that how it works?

What all comes with the Mccord Power Plate electric cutout?
Is it just the switch, or do they give you the whole cutout system including switch?

They include the switch and the McCord Power Plate for the Cutout. Have you visited their website yet? It tells about the McCord Power Plate and what it comes with: http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/mpp.htm

I'd be interested if the buy wasn't for a little while, I just got my normal cutout on and would love to have an electric one but am limited on funds right now, but if another one starts count me in.

I have a question. Current situation on me. I have factory exhuast as of now, which is what? 2.5 inch? So my first planning was to wait till i have enough to get full exhaust, headers, y-pipe, hi-flow converter, cut-out, electric cut-out, and cat-back, all at once. Im thinking it would be easier installation wise just to have everythin at once, get it in.

Now i see this deal thats going on, so would it be a good idea to just buy a cutout now, and get this electric cut-out with my current factory exhuast?

Cause my thinking is say i got a 3 inch cut-out (cause thats the size i want for new exhaust) and went ahead and put it on my stock, 2.5 inch im assuming, exhuast, wouldnt that later cause problems when i switched over to new exhaust and had to remove everything again, and somehow remove the cut-out so i can put it in the new exhaust?

So basically its down to this, wait till i get whole new exhaust? Or just get cut-out now, since its cheap, and get new exhuast later?

If its no problems, im signing on, and ordering a Flowtech cut-out right now

shouldn't be any problems.

if you order the cutout, you might as well save the money you'd spend on a cat-back system and put it towards something else.
I'm running through my stock exhaust day to day, and going open before the lights drop.

Hey guys

I am on the list to order the cut out.

If you are ordering more then one does that affect the discount or is it only per a complete order?

thanks
