"new" tech article... how to polish tail lights
I know this has been done many times, I did it to my TA lights few years ago so I'm not taking credit for this but hey , one more tech article can't hurt. as with any polishing there are different approaches and some might work better than others, I just did this again to a friends camaro tail lights and they came out looking great. so if you're wondering what your camaro tail lights might look like , check it out. (I'll be doing it soon enough to formula tail lights
)

PS to the moderators: last time my link was removed , now honestly I could care less , BUT , everybody here links to their sites and no one cares, I don't see what the big deal is , if you are not supposed to let people advertise their sites, fine that's the policy and that's it , but don't single people out , that's just slightly annoying. my site is 100% non-profit as is any other one that shows up in someones signature...

i polished mine with rubbing compound and then went to novus plastic polish for the final buffing. they were really really bad because they had some weird tinting overspary on them. worked great though.

smurfmobile: you ROCK man :rockon:
I went to autozone and picked up some of this stuff and had at it today. I only got the left tail light and 3rd brake light done, but D@MN does it look good. I tried to get a pic of it, but none of them turned out too good.... I'll throw one up anywayz.
What I did was...
1)Cleaned the lights with castrol superclean, inside and out, and let dry
2)Had at it with the Blue Magic cleaner. Follow the directions, it's
like polishing your car.
3)After done polishing, sprayed it with water and used a toothbrush to clean the leftover gunk out of the grids and where it collects on the raised lettering.
4)Used Mothers 'Back to Black' in the grids with a q-tip and on the rest of the black plastic.
5)Put a coat of Meguiars 'Quik Wax' on the lenses for protection and a little deeper shine. Any carnauba wax is probably fine.
I lost track of how many coats I did with the cleaner, but I spent about 2 hours on the one tail light alone, maybe because mine has been neglected so long from previous owner.... ??? The more times you do it, the better it looks - simple as that. I *HIGHLY* recomend this to anyone who's tails don't look so good. I was thinking about blackouts, but now I'm reconsidering

On the inside of your hatch area where that light bulb is, remove those plastic panels and also the ones on the side to get to the (black plastic screws?) to remove the tail lights.
