I live in Bergan County (Fair Lawn) and looking for a good mechanic to do labor on some performance upgrades for of course a reasonable price. If anyone could suggest any shops it would be much appreciated. Also looking for a good machinist to do some intake and head porting, any suggestions?

actually i might have some help. ive never had them do any machining for me, but i know they have a machine shop. It is Haledon Auto Parts on Haledon ave in Haledon.

Right now im trying to find some guys to do a cheap header install. Im being quoted for $450 which seems a tad steep to me.

I havent been up in north jersey.. but from what i hear, there is a ton of shops on 46... i dont know, but i was thinking of heading up that way for some work since there is little down here... and if there is..they dont push them selfs... i really wana get some work done with some new proms and such..

 

Stage 1 could do it.
They are mostly a grand nat shop, but secondly f body's
North jersey perf is more a machine/ engine and gear shop.

There is a Midas on Route 17 northbound in the saddle river area that does custom installs.
He has done my edlebrock install, y pipe changes, cat install, and most recently slp loudmouht w/ cat all 3 inch.

He did my chevelle's exhaust

Deleted my resonator in my sable :lala:

 

just a lil word of advice, id stay away from almost anything on Rt 46, (well east of clifton ) that place is known for import shops and shady used car dealers. i check with a few references before having any work done, ...just tryign to watch out for ya guys.
