3.08 or 3.23

I have a 9-bolt open drum brake rearend with a 3.08 and yes it is a 9-bolt ask Miles if you din`t believe me anyway I just bought a 91 v-6 for some interior parts and it has a 3.23 10-bolt and the gear appeals to me but i wonder if it is worth all the effort to swap and if I stand a good chance of braking the 10 bolt as I go to the strip once a week when the are open with street tires

Not unless you really modded the hell out of that LG4, I would not worry about breaking that 10-bolt. And it also depend on which one has the limited slip in it ?? And if either has it go for the 3:23.

Everything after 1989 should have 28 spline axle shafts.

yep that rear will have 28 spline axles, you should buy a ZEXEL posi unit from SLP for $100 and toss that in there, and you should be good to go for next to nothing. 3.23 with a new posi for dirt cheap, u cant go wrong.
