LO3 turbo exhaust manifolds
LO3 turbo exhaust manifolds
Turbo headers for L03 305 TBI
Anyone making them?
Looking to run plain and simple 60 trim T3's Nothing special. But I am looking to run 2 of them.
tips and places to pick up the exhaust manifolds. Also what should I upgrade besides the 305 to a 350
.
I dont want huge hp. 270-290 would be great. yes other supportive mods are planned. But I am curious on these parts.

is the bolt pattersn and exhaust ports similar between the 350 and 305 heads??? if so I am sure I can make them work... and banks builds turbo exhaust manifolds?? I never really thought about turbos on this car but then I know people who have several T3's laying around so depending on the price of the headers I could get it done cheaply. Not to mention I could prolly get a deal on the turbo piping....

Like Ace said, you're pretty much on your own when it comes to turbo headers.
All Chevy small-block heads have the same exhaust header bolt pattern and spacing (except LS1 and SB2) Any exhaust header or flange kit can be made to work.
Some of the old Martini/Rayjay manifolds might work, but IIRC, they were for a single turbo setup, and i don't think you can make them clear the driver's side on a thirdgen. Most of these are around 20 years old, and used too, if you can find them.
Banks headers are nice, but they will be massively expensive, they were part of a $10,000 engine conversion back in the mid '80s.
If you only want 270 horsepower, you can get that out of a n/a 305 with less trouble and expense than trying to huff it.

I think you can get the Banks manifolds for around the $500 range.I spoke to a guy there a few months ago and he said they did still offer the manifolds and they were getting ready to re-release the TT kit within a couple months for the TPI & TBI cars.:hail: ..Call them and see!..The # is 626 691 2158..good luck
